Heather is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner who is qualified to practice in both primary care and psychiatry to diagnose, treat and prescribe medication for children, adolescents, and adults. Some of her practice specialties include (but not limited to) ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, and Schizophrenia. Heather received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. After graduating she worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Richmond, Kentucky. Her experience working with this population illustrated the gap between medical and psychiatric care, and how the mind and body connection is often ignored. These gaps in care encouraged Heather to pursue a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree at Northern Kentucky University with a goal of developing a practice that integrates medicine and mental health for most effective treatment.
